My latest delivery from Wiggle (an online cycling store) has arrived! Preparing for Race Across America has been costly, so I’ve cut back to only ordering the bare essentials, and going with cheap options where possible: the sunnies only cost about thirteen pounds! However, with a a new Ultegra cassette, multiple tyres, a mountain of inner tubes, beetroot juice, electrolytes, recovery drinks and energy gels, this latest shop cost in the region of £350. It wouldn’t feel so bad if it wasn’t for the fact that I’m going to consume most of it over the course of a week!
Ah well, the Race Across America shall be a once in a lifetime experience!
