Spring is going to be busy! I’ve built up a decent base of running miles over winter, and now it’s coastal runs in France, followed by my first ultra of the year – the “Haworth Hobble” in Yorkshire. A few days later is my first stair-climbing competition ever, “Vertical Rush” in London. Just over a week after that is a 20 mile trail race in the Peak District – the “Edale Skyline”. Then it’s off for some warmer weather Down Under.

I’ve finally got myself into Instagram (@geekinthehills) so you may see more short updates from my travels then.

When I get back it’s a cycling trip Flanders from London, then my first ‘A’ race of the year: the London Marathon. All this in the next seven weeks! So for one last week I shall plod outdoors and train on treadmills, then it’s action stations, hooray!

Winter’s over, let’s race!
