This time tomorrow I’ll be pedalling my way out of London to Dover, on the first leg of a cycling trip to Calais, Bruges and Ypres. My final parcel of new cycling goodies has arrived, so my bike and I are now sporting extra new kit!
The front of my bike is now sporting a new Garmin 1000, wrapped in the official Garmin silicone case and with a third party screen protector. I’ve returned the additional front mount as the Garmin 1000 shipped with one in the box.
As the weather this Spring has been unseasonably cold, I decided to shell out for some additional protection against the elements. A pair of Castelli neoprene Diluvio C gloves and a pair of neoprene Grip Grab Race Thermo overshoes will keep my fingers and toes warm. An Ass Saver foldable rear mudguard will keep me in the good books of other riders, rather than spraying whoever is on my wheel.

Ass Saver mudguard fits just right on my road bike, and the colours match!

Neoprene gloves and overshoes, plus removable rear mudguard
Whatever the weather throws us, whatever condition the cobbles are in Flanders, I’ve now no excuse not to push hard on the bike!
Keep those wheels turning
