Last weekend I found myself back in the Peak District after a long interlude. I’d found myself daydreaming about Mam Tor and the possibility of snow, and couldn’t be distracted by any other attractions the north west of England had to offer.
The reality was a lack of snow, but more parapenters in one spot than I’ve ever seen before. It may not be three perfect weather yet for winter mountaineering, but the steady winds must be good for these folk! It was pretty cool watching these guys both above and below me as I headed up Mam Tor and along the ridge!
