The view up to Sharp Edge on Blencathra (Lake District, England)
I have spent the weekend with a friend yomping through the northern Lake District, around Skiddaw and Blencathra, commencing training for Aconcagua. The highlights included (responsible) wild camping on Blencathra, lying under a blanket of thousands of stars at night, and taking on Sharp Edge first thing in the morning with heavy rucksacks.
Looking at my calendar I’ll be hard pressed to juggle work, life and training for Aconcagua, so I’ll have to train smart to build up the mountain fitness required for the expedition up South America’s highest peak. Stay tunes for more training updates!
