Thanks for visiting my site. I’ve been climbing, cycling and running for years and finally decided to share some of that passion with readers who are interested in similar pursuits or who just want to read about something a bit different. I’ve taken on a few more interesting outdoor projects &expeditions that have required a bit more research, training and planning, which I have written about, plus I have a few photos which I thought were pretty cool and wanted to post.
I’m based in the North West of England and irrespective of the weather I love getting out and about, either on my road bike or running cross country, generally seeing more of the beauty of nature on my doorstep.
I started blogging just before my first Mountain Marathon in 2011. Since then I’ve written about an expedition up Denali in Alaska, about numerous sporting events I’ve competed in and about upcoming projects. Sometimes I write to share ideas and tips, or to recommend a particular piece of outdoor gear. Sometimes I just write because telling the world what I’m about to do gives me motivation to go out and do it!
I hope you enjoy your time on this site and I hope you come back soon.
Happy reading and keep exploring!

I’ve been described as a geek too and live in the NW, no mountain experience though. I’m enjoying reading your adventures.
Thanks for reading and for commenting, it keeps my motivated to keep posting! If you know of any good events or particularly good running locations in the North West, I’d love to hear about them 🙂
