It’s been months in the making, but here I am, back in Bansko, Bulgaria, preparing for the Pirin Ultra which commences in a few hours. It’s a 66km trail run with 4400m altitude gain, and is part of the Migu Skyrunner World Series.
I’ve been here a week to do some recces and get used to the altitude. I’ve done some exploring and honed my kit choice for tomorrow, which will include a new Salomon 12 litre hydration vest.
