It’s been a busy couple of weeks. I’ve found myself cycling around London more than ever before, and between cycling, swimming, Tabata and electro muscle stimulation sessions (I really need to write more about that…), I’ve been keeping in good shape.
This morning I raced a friend on road bikes to the Excel Centre in London, did the Rat Race London race and posted very respectable times, then raced back in time for me to finish packing to go to Russia to climb Mount Elbrus.
I’m flying tonight with Aeroflot to Moscow and on to Minerale Vody. From there we go overgrown to Pyatigorsk, stay overnight then start the 100km overground journey on bad roads to Mount Elbrus, the highest mountain in Europe.
With a good weather window, in just over a week, I Should be stood 5,642m above sea level. I’ll keep you posted!
Keep aiming higher
