I’ve just woken up in my tent at the Rapha Tempest festival – a cycling camping weekend in Yorkshire, ideally suited for stage 1 and 2 of 2014’s Tour de France. There’s been good food, drink, music, cycling documentaries, cycling talks and a bit of ogling at cycling merchandise.

It’s just easing off raining after a night of continuous downpour. Fingers crossed that it stops before the peloton set off… I don’t want to be stood in the rain for a second day!

It’s been a busy week so far; more about last week’s Ironman to follow once I am out of this field.

Keep camping
