120 minutes till the start of Marmot Dark Mountains 2014! Location: Glossop, UK. Format: Mountain marathon run overnight under a dark sky in the Peak District. My friend and I are one of 15 teams doing the Long Score format. We finish in daylight on Sunday morning.
It’s cold up there so my pack will weigh about 7 kilos. It’s also going to be windy and there are mercilessly few obvious features in the dark and bleak Peak at night. My adrenaline is coursing and I should really shoot off to get to the event HQ in time.
