I’m eagerly following the tweets of climbing friends on Everest. They’re currently all safe at the Balcony, just a few hundred metres from the top of the world. It’s a technological marvel that the guys can radio down to base camp their status, who in turn message the UK centre over the internet, who tweet the updates as they get them.
I’m sure all friends and famy will be looking forward to the good news from the top within the next few hours, and most importantly, upon their safe return back down.
